SMS opt-in workflow
Who receives SMS
Only the business owner (or a number they designate) who purchased RingSafe. We never text end customers for marketing. We never buy or scrape mobile lists for SMS.
Opt-in method
Verbal, during onboarding. After the owner agrees to subscribe (price as agreed at signup), our closer (Gabriel) collects the mobile number that should receive call alerts and reads the disclosure below. Signup also happens in writing by email if they prefer. The website ringsafe.us explains that every handled call produces an SMS to the owner; booking a call is not itself SMS opt-in.
Spoken / written disclosure
“RingSafe will text this mobile number when we answer a call for your business — caller name, phone, and what they need. These are transactional alerts, not ads. Message frequency depends on your call volume. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP anytime to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent is optional and not required to buy. Is this the number you want us to text?”
Proof of consent
- Owner states the number and confirms yes on the recorded or logged onboarding call, or replies yes by email.
- We store the number on their RingSafe account as the alert destination.
- We do not send SMS until that confirmation.
Opt-out
Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help. We also remove the number if they cancel the subscription or ask by email.
Sample message
